MACEDON. Akanthos. Circa 470-430 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 17.24 g, 11 h). Lion right, attacking a bull collapsing to left; in exergue, tunny swimming to left. Rev. AKA-N-ΘIO-N Raised quadripartite square surrounded by inscription; all within shallow incuse square. Desneux - (-/R92). A very well centered example struck from an unlisted obverse die. A few very minor deposits, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
